VMR Strategic Solutions is seeking a Privacy and Compliance Officer. Are you interested in joining a dynamic team that provides crucial support to USCYBERCOM’s internal command IT systems and the expansive enterprise, encompassing unique cyberspace operations systems? We are in search of a proficient cybersecurity expert to play a pivotal role as a key member of this team.

Duties

  • Devise, implement, enhance, and monitor security protocols to safeguard computer networks and sensitive information.
  • Oversee the implementation of effective security controls to protect digital files and critical electronic infrastructure.
  • Address computer security breaches and potential virus threats as needed.
  • Maintain the optimal operational security stance for information systems.
  • Lead the security management of information systems through Certification & Accreditation (C&A) procedures.
  • Collaborate with information system owners to fulfill security-related responsibilities.
  • Review System Security Plans (SSP) and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Provide insight into security mechanism implementations.
  • Assess and document the efficacy of implemented solutions to ensure the "CIA Triad" (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
  • Familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity Policies.
  • Experience utilizing Xacta Solutions (Xacta 360).
  • Understanding of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), ACAS (Security scanning software), vCenter, WSUS (Windows Server Update Service), and/or STIGs/IAVA.
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to analyze projects and apply engineering skills to devise solutions.
  • Proficiency in building systems from the ground up, including network architecture and systems engineering.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university, preferably in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Possession of one of the following active security certifications: CGRC, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO - (minimum DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification).
  • Proficiency in Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Active TS/SCI + Polygraph clearance.
