Overview
Position Title: Information System Security Officer
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Reports To: Technical Task Lead
Job Type: Full-time
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with polygraph, U.S. citizen

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands on cybersecurity support for implementing and enforcing Information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation and systems for security accreditations
  • Think outside the box to evolve and support the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
  • Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
  • Develop and update the system security plan and other IA documentation
  • Confidence to work on enterprise scale cybersecurity systems and drive positive impact

Qualifications
Education:
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or other related field
  • 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I is required
  • Security + Certification is required

Experience:
  • Ten (10) years' experience is required

Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to collaborate with others to determine root cause.
  • Strong communication and requirements solicitation skills. Translate from technical development teams to end user customers and vice versa in capturing meaningful metrics and monitoring baselines and helping lead adaptations to those baselines over time to best meet customer needs.

Physical Requirements:
  • Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.
