Job description

This position is a fulltime Non-Exempt (hourly) position, supporting the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) . The Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Simulation Technician provides support to the MTC and other training facilities/deployed sites (as required ). RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Serves as the local hardware, software and functional expert for one of the following: * FIRESIM / ExCIS , BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN , or WARSIM . * A nswer s questions concerning operation of the system , troubleshoot s problems and provide s configuration management on software/hardware systems. * Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operat ors prior to constructive exercises . * Maintains setup, testing and troubleshooting guides for SME system. * T roubleshoot s computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations. Valiant Integrated Services is an employer who hires in accordance with applicable state and federal law. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment in compliance with those laws. Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 1 year experience in the LVC-G field. Demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools and Mission Command Systems (MCSs) * Minimum of 5 years ' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues. Military experiences preferred . Simulation experience preferred. * Must have an understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS. * Experience working in a high security environment and management of classified equipment; Understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements. * Must meet DOD 8570.01-M Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II. Must meet all IA training and reporting requirements. * Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk--read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement. * Reports directly to the SST Lead. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of AA/AS degree in relevant field (BA/BS preferred). ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT S: * Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information. * Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.
