Job description

Overview
This summer internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will assist with the provisioning, installation, and maintenance of system hardware and software while supporting end users. This role is ideal for a student looking to apply technical knowledge to real-world infrastructure and regulated systems.
Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Assist with desktop, laptop, phone, and software support for on-site staff.
  • User Management: Help manage and create user accounts within established systems.
  • Ticket Management: Monitor the helpdesk queue to respond to, escalate, or close support tickets.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring: Provide basic monitoring and support for network infrastructure.
  • Compliance: Perform all tasks in accordance with WuXi AppTec policies, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and safety procedures.
  • Collaboration: Assist IT staff and management on departmental goals and special projects.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of technical IT support experience; prior classroom or project experience with hardware/software troubleshooting is preferred.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Operating Systems: Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Hardware: Fundamental understanding of PC hardware and printer troubleshooting/repair.
  • Networking: Basic grasp of Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and general networking principles (LAN/WAN).
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Communication: Proficient oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members and end users.

Physical Requirements
