Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time

UVA Imaging | Charlottesville, VA

UVA Imaging is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient imaging team in Charlottesville, VA.

If you enjoy patient care, working with a collaborative clinical team, and are looking for a consistent part-time schedule, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Schedule: Part-Time | 3 Days per Week

  • Monday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 6:15 AM - 2:45 PM
  • Saturday: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM
What You'll Do

As an LPN, you will help prepare and support patients throughout their imaging procedures. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients for imaging procedures
  • Conducting patient and MRI safety screenings
  • Obtaining and reviewing patient medical histories
  • Starting IVs and establishing IV access
  • Assisting with patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures
  • Communicating with patients and members of the clinical team
  • Helping ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive patient experience

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience in a clinical setting.

Education

  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

Licensure & Certification

  • Current LPN license meeting the requirements of the state in which you practice.
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under the direction of an RN or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Ability to assist with medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document patient information accurately and concisely.
  • Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills.

Computer Skills

  • Basic proficiency with computer applications and healthcare information systems.
  • Ability to accurately enter, access, and retrieve patient and clinical information electronically.
Work Environment

While performing the essential functions of this position, employees may be exposed to:
