We are looking for an Automation Engineer to help transform manufacturing through Automation and lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of automated production systems that increase efficiency, quality and operational performance.
** This role can be staffed from any of the following Cinch locations: McAllen, TX, Waseca, MN or Reynosa, Tamps Mexico **
Are You Looking To:
- Design and implement automated systems for use in diverse manufacturing and production environments.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for equipment.
- Manage equipment purchase and installation.
Are You Ready To:
- Lead collaborative discussions between local management and upper management to determine automation capabilities and goals.
- Create detailed road maps to guide automation projects from conception to final implementation.
- Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.

- Lead end-to-end functional testing of all points to local devices, HMI, control room, and other data off-taker facilities.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 10 year of hands-on experience in designing automation assembly machineries.
- Master's degree is a Plus.
- Familiarity with PLC hardware selection and programming.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other computer software.
- Possesses effective written and oral communications skills.
- Autocad/Solidworks/Creo.
- Experience selecting and integrating automation hardware including pneumatics, electric actuators/servos, sensors, and basic guarding/safety components.
- Working knowledge of machine design elements: linear motion components, bearings, cams, springs, gearboxes, couplings, and fastener best practices.
- Experience designing precision tooling and fixturing (nests, locators, clamps, press tools, insertion guides, crimp applicator interfaces, changeover tooling)
- Strong ability with software testing and validation.
- Bilingual -English and Spanish
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
