The Designer, Hardware & Tech partners with the Sr. Manager and Sr. Director leads in support of the successful creation, development and evolution of hardware across all categories and collections within Accessories & RTW. The key candidate for this role must understand and clearly demonstrate and achieve the creative intent through sophisticated and technical functionality. This role requires an individual who can work on site as the day-to-day responsibilities revolve around the physical product.
A Day in the Life:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Scope
  • Execute technical specifications for hardware development
  • Thoroughly review all vendor technical specs and apply clear and concise feedback.
  • CAD support through Illustrator and Rhino renderings based on conceptual direction.
  • Trouble shoot and provide technical guidance to hardware Design Team
  • Meet with hardware and trim suppliers and present cards to Design, when necessary
  • Organized file saving processes for designs easy reference of materials like specs, vendor technical designs and 3D files.
  • Clearly organize developments within powerpoint for collaborative team communication
  • Ensure all Hardware Milestones are top of mind and deadlines are met.

Cross-Functional & Key partnerships
  • Assist in communication between PD and design for hardware
  • Drive toward supporting Corporate Goals (ie: streamlining initiative...)
  • Partner very closely with the Design & Product Development teams
  • Build relationships with local casters and local sample room for projects with sharp leadtimes

To Land This Role:
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BA/BS/BFA degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years' experience in design, and or Technical Design Engineering
  • Experience with PLM (Centric), or other Product Management system
  • Proficient in Rhino 3D, Solid Works, Z-Brush and Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong taste level and design aesthetic
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong math and collaborative skills
  • Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 90,000.00 USD - 125,000.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
