Summary:
The ideal candidate possesses an artistry gift in graphic design for both print and digital projects and will design and produce effective visuals that attract and move people across a wide spectrum of mediums to communicate, inform, inspire, and engage current and prospective members of Faith Church.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create and produce clear, exciting and appealing weekly announcements in varied

formats.
  • Create, update and maintain website/ social graphics to ensure both current and prospective members are well informed in a creative and easy-to-navigate format.
  • Create with excellence visual elements for the weekly service, special events and seasonal productions as directed by various event coordinators.
  • Develop and deploy photo backdrops and events print decor
  • Provide visual elements on an "as needed" basis for Lead Pastor.
  • Diligent in managing/executing multiple projects.
  • Execute a variety of projects for various mediums, including:
    • brochures, billboards, banners, web-friendly graphics, signage, newsletters, postcards, logo, media packaging, signs and more.
  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout
  • Review designs for errors before delivery
  • Work with the project manager to complete projects in a timely manner

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment (routinely uses standard office equipment).
Physical Demands
Office time is mostly a sedentary role (stationary at desk and working on a computer); during services and events, must have high energy for multiple hour segments.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The weekly schedule will include 40-45 hours per week and will be the same every week. In addition to your regular weekly hours you will be asked to participate in events that will occasionally include evening or weekend hours, as there are continual seasons where it will be necessary to exceed these minimum hours (i.e., Christmas, Easter, Women's Conference, Strategic Planning, are just some examples and do not encompass all of the extended hours opportunities). These hours can/will fluctuate.
Sunday: Varies based on assigned campus
Monday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Tuesday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM (rotation week: until 9:00PM)
Wednesday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Thursday: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Friday: Off
Saturday: Off (rotation week 3:00pm - 7:00pm)
Travel
Campus to campus local travel and occasional overnight trips will be expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
  1. 3 or more years' experience working in a similar role
  2. Basic understanding of printing and working with HP printers.
  3. Ability to effectively and concisely communicate with various levels of management
  4. Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines without constant follow up
  5. Familiarity with multiple disciplines in the creative field (design, photography, communications)
  6. Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Google Suite applications, Illustrator and InDesign (CS5+) exposure to Asana or Basecamp.
  7. Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  8. Graphic, typography, and print design skills
  9. Mac OS X & preparing print-ready artwork
  10. Hands-on production of printed pieces with in-house production equipment

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Associates or bachelor's degree in Fine Art, Design or a related discipline preferred
  2. Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  3. Minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  4. Working knowledge of WordPress and web design is a plus
  5. Ability to learn how to use art design printers such as HP Design Jet and Konica Pro Printer
