Summary of Position
Teaches undergraduate and graduate courseswith a focus in machine learning and its applications in artificial intelligence, NLM, GenAI, computer graphics, networking, cybersecurity, IoT, robotics, HCI, databases, software engineering, etc. in The School of Computer Science, Information, and Engineering Technology. Conducts research and produces scholarship in candidate's area of expertise. Seeks and secures external funding. Contributes to programmatic improvement, curricular development, and assessment efforts at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Establishes interdisciplinary collaborations across the University or with external organizations and performs service to the University.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a closely related field (or an ABD candidate with a Ph.D. conferred by the time of appointment); and must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at thecollege level. Research productivity/potential for sustained scholarly achievement. Research and teaching experience in the following or closely related areas: machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer graphics.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
