Job description

Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader that has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years, to hire a QA Engineer for an immediate need on their gaming team.

This is a 6-month W-2 contract role, fully onsite in Redmond, WA (no remote work and no relocation assistance provided). We offer competitive pay, full benefits, PTO, and an outstanding company culture.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Execute system-level testing and validation across Windows-based PC and gaming platforms.
  • Perform system-level testing on Windows hardware and software environments.
  • Validate Windows platform functionality, device drivers (including graphics/display drivers), firmware, and overall system behavior across pre-production PC devices.
  • Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document defects with clear and detailed bug reports.
  • Analyze logs, system behavior, and test results to support root-cause investigations.
  • Create and distribute test reports to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Review test plans and contribute to test automation efforts where applicable.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve product quality, stability, and user experience.
What We Need to See
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, validation, testing, or a related engineering role.
  • Strong experience testing and debugging Windows client operating systems and PC platforms.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues at the system level.
  • Experience testing device drivers (especially graphics/display drivers), firmware, and Windows platform functionality.
  • Experience working on pre-production Windows desktop or client platforms, collaborating with engineering teams to identify, reproduce, and isolate system-level issues.
  • Proficiency with scripting or automation using Python.
  • Experience using Windows debugging tools (such as WinDbg), log analysis, and root-cause investigation techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Passion for product quality and finding hard-to-reproduce issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience validating Microsoft Surface devices or other Windows OEM hardware platforms.
  • Experience with Windows device driver validation, graphics/display drivers, or Windows platform testing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Test Technologies (MTT), WHQL, HLK, or similar Windows validation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of GPU technologies, graphics systems, or PC gaming platforms.
  • Experience supporting automation frameworks and Python-based test infrastructure.
