Job description

Hybrid’s humble beginnings started in 1997 in the back of a print shop designing, selling, and printing tee shirts. Today, Hybrid is a global apparel industry powerhouse in brand and licensing management. Hybrid provides its expertise and fully vertical operations capability – design, merchandising, development, sourcing, production, and distribution – to a broad suite of branded, licensed, generic, and private label partners. Hybrid’s full-service apparel design and manufacturing expertise extends across the apparel category, including knits, woven tops, bottoms, tees, and accessories.
As our organization has evolved, so has our philosophy of doing business. We have made concerted efforts to remove ourselves from the antiquated approach of other apparel manufacturers and doing things differently has been our focus. We are building a company ethos that breeds innovation, collaboration, integrity and excellence in customer service.

What is my role?

Graphic Designer will be required to function within a team environment as well as working on projects independently. Experience working with license brands, particularly in the graphic market will serve this role well as we are frequently called on to explore a variety of aesthetics and trends to meet the needs of our license partners. This person will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing environment as we look to grow our brands.

Ideal candidate will have strong graphic design skill and the ability to work quickly and efficiently to complete projects. Looking for a collaborative team player that is familiar with the female license market and aware of key players, trends and activities within that market. Strong typography and design skills are a must, along with a good sense of color and composition.

What You'll Do

  • Must be able to follow a design brief and create sellable, trend-right art from scratch
  • Strong understanding of typography, color, composition
  • Hand sketching/drawing skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment (Manage multiple projects)
  • Self-motivated and accountable for meeting tight deadlines
  • Team Player: Must be able to collaborate with other designers
  • Good communicator: Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • Must be coachable, willing to learn and be open to feedback/constructive criticism
