Overview

Are you a technically minded problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment? Join IGT as a Computer Operatorย and play a key role in supporting the systems that power our Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) Operations Center.

In this role, you'll proactively monitor enterprise systems, troubleshoot technical issues, respond to incidents, and help ensure our operations remain secure, reliable, and compliant 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You'll work alongside software engineers, system administrators, and operations teams to maintain system performance while providing outstanding support to internal and external customers.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a regulated environment.

Shift Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Work 7 shifts over a two-week pay period (3 days one week, 4 days the next)
  • Includes every other weekend (Friday-Sunday) and holidays as part of a 24/7 operation.
What You'll Do
  • Monitor enterprise computer systems to ensure maximum system performance and availability.
  • Perform operational checklists, system validations, and routine monitoring activities.
  • Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and assist with system recovery efforts to minimize downtime.
  • Generate, review, and distribute operational reports while ensuring accuracy.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and operational activities using tracking systems.
  • Communicate with gaming venues, regulatory agencies, software engineers, and internal support teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Follow established change management and escalation procedures.
  • Assist with implementing approved system changes and configuration updates.
  • Train and mentor new team members on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Maintain compliance with operational standards, audit requirements, and gaming regulations.
What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in a technical field or 2+ years of experience in IT operations or a similar technical environment.
  • Experience monitoring computer systems or working in a technical operations center is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix, Linux, AIX, VMS, DOS, and command-line environments.
  • Familiarity with FTP/SFTP file transfer protocols.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Gaming License and successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation.

For this role, the starting compensation range is $39,060 - $53,715 USD with flexibility to adjust higher or lower based on the full scope of qualifications.
