Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of all tableware, pots and pans, and utensils during restaurant operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintains dishwashing machine and all associated equipment at the dishwashing station.
  2. Ensures all plates, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, and utensils are thoroughly washed and stowed in the proper location.
  3. Keeps kitchen free of garbage and spills.
  4. Complies with state and local sanitation policies.
  5. Knows where all soaps and cleaning chemicals are stored.
  6. Knows the proper use and safety precautions for all chemicals.
  7. Knows the proper procedure for trash removal to outside dumpsters.
  8. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  9. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  10. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  11. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  12. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  13. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be dependable and reliable.
  2. Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  2. Must be able to stand for long period of time.
  3. Subject to internal working conditions, including a heat and smoking environment as well as an alcohol establishment.

Education Required: None
Education Preferred: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).
Experience: No prior experience necessary
