Job Summary: A Dealer that performs as a Floor Supervisor to meet business needs. Responsible for the successful operations of the Table Games area, assuring game protection, and that guests have a memorable gaming experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
  • Greets all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
  • Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy.
  • Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that may arise.
  • Attends all meetings as required.
  • Completes all required training satisfactorily.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Works at other properties as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

DEALER

  • Deals in accordance to Table Games Policies and Procedures.
  • Exchanges paper currency or tokens for playing chips or coin money.
  • Ensures that wagers are placed before cards are dealt, roulette ball is spun, or dice are tossed.
  • Announces winning number or color to players.
  • Computes payable odds to pay winning bets.
  • Pays winning bets and collects losing bets.
  • Breaks down, counts and verifies chips for table game fills and credits on assigned table.

SUPERVISOR

  • Monitors gaming play on assigned tables for mistakes, fills, credits, money changes, and game protection up to eight (8) games efficiently.
  • Interacts with guests to provide a memorable gaming experience.
  • Enforces Table Games policies and procedures.
  • Compiles paperwork as required for assigned shift.
  • Keeps the Table Games Shift Manager informed of status of assigned Table Games.
  • Handles minor disputes and corrects mistakes on assigned tables.
  • Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that may arise
  • Monitor guest consumption and respond according to TIPS training.
  • Responsible for following established departmental procedures and all applicable laws, and show responsibility by practicing methods that were taught through our TIPS Program.
  • Enters table game and player data into computer system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience as a Table Games Dealer.
  • Must be proficient in two (2) major games offered at Odawa Casino Resort; Blackjack plus Roulette, Craps and/or Poker.
  • Must be able to pass an audition/test based on previous Table Games experience.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have general computer knowledge.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must havestrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be flexible with shift and days off with ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed.
  • You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
  • Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
