About the Role:
The Project Coordinator at TechServ will manage a team of skilled design QA/QC Technicians who operate as owner-engineers on a utility's behalf. You will be expected to create project plans, monitor progress, and ensure that the project stays on track, within budget, and facilitate weekly reporting. If coordinating resources, monitoring project timelines, and resolving any issues that may arise during the project's duration sounds exciting, we look forward to hearing from you.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Team Coordination and Management
    • Lead a team of QA/QC Technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance and training, and ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Act as a point of reference for technical queries and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance productivity and quality of work.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee engineering design projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and exceptional quality standards. Be responsible for tracking project progress, addressing and resolving issues, and updating stakeholders on project status.
  • Problem-Solving
    • Anticipate potential challenges and obstacles in the design process and develop strategic solutions to mitigate them.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that all designs comply with client specifications, industry standards, and regulations. Oversee the process of identifying pole requirements and limitations, assessing the impact of new attachments, and designing safe, reliable, and compliant solutions.
  • Day-To-Day Duties
    • Coordinate the completion of the designs assigned to the team.
    • Monitor project status and provide mentoring feedback to the designers.
    • Track designers' and technicians' progress and productivity and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
    • Ensure all project deadlines are adhered to.
    • Develop and maintain project documentation and reports throughout the tracking process.
    • Analyze data and produce weekly progress reports.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of project coordinator or project management experience, preferably in the electric utility industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, including project managers, stakeholders, and designers in a multi-disciplined team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel used for tracking, problem-solving, and data handling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Excellent time and project management capabilities to meet deadlines
  • Inquisitive by nature, driven entrepreneur
  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in a field of Engineering, Construction Management, business, or other STEM fields
  • Pre-existing knowledge of joint-use pole design, attachment regulations and standards, clearance-based design, and pole loading analysis

Physical Requirements:
  • Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are required
  • Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout the office to access equipment and collaborate with team members
  • The ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, requiring good vision or corrective lenses if needed
  • May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
