Position Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity, computer engineering, and artificial intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity principles, computer engineering, and emerging AI technologies, with a commitment to high-quality instruction, student engagement, and experiential learning.
Job Responsibilities
โ€ข Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in cybersecurity, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, and related areas.
โ€ข Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry standards and technological advancements.
โ€ข Deliver engaging lectures, laboratory instruction, and hands-on learning experiences.
โ€ข Assess student learning through assignments, projects, examinations, and presentations.
โ€ข Provide timely feedback and maintain regular communication with students.
โ€ข Maintain accurate course records and submit grades according to university deadlines.
โ€ข Collaborate with full-time faculty on curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
โ€ข Support ABET accreditation efforts by documenting student learning outcomes and assessment activities, if requested.
โ€ข Encourage ethical practices, innovation, and professional development among students.
โ€ข Maintain office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements
โ€ข Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
โ€ข Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity and computer engineering.
โ€ข Working knowledge of artificial intelligence tools and applications, including generative AI technologies.
โ€ข Ability to teach effectively in face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments.
โ€ข Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
