Job description

Job Duties: Vice President, Systems Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas. Apply expertise across all Network Engineering domains including perimeter-Internet, Perimeter-b2b, core and remote office networks. Oversee the design and build out of the firm's computer and data network infrastructure, including identification of network hardware and implementation of public and private cloud-based solutions to provide seamless on-demand scaling of the firm's applications.Oversee the creation of automated networking processes, standards, solutions and tools to ensure smooth operation of the firm's businesses. Leverage Infrastructure as code expertise to automate network infrastructure services provisioning and react to problems in the firm's infrastructure and platforms.Oversee the identification, analysis, and resolution of network infrastructure issues by documenting repetitive error resolutions and minimizing operational errors. Track and manage network connectivity health and ensure network service reliability, performance and availability.Manage network risk and cost in the production environment and change management process. Improve network stability and performance by automating failures using network management tools and analyzing discrepancies and trends. Manage production incidents and communicate with users, applications owners, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders. Develop sustainable systems and services through automation, performance tuning and database queries. Manage network connectivity business continuity planning and disaster recovery and plan appropriate contingency plans.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related Systems Engineering role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or related field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related Systems Engineering role. Prior work experience must include three (3) years (with a Master's degree) OR five (5) years (with a Bachelor's degree) with 4 of the 6 following skills: experience in full network Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) including requirements gathering, design, prioritization, testing, integration, and support; infrastructure-as-code knowledge. Using Continuous Integration/Continuous deployment techniques to treat infrastructure as code (IaC); building and managing Zero Trust networks, enforcing explicit user identity verification, adopting least privilege and continuous monitoring principles; experience working as a technical Subject matter expert and technical lead in bespoke user services networking solutions and integrations; skilled in designing, securing, and managing scalable business-to-business and perimeter-internet network architectures that connect different corporate entities, partner networks, extranets, supply chain integrations and multi-tenant cloud ecosystems; and leading and managing Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) tenant restriction implementations for M365 productivity and collaboration application services.
