InAdvanced Programs Aero Design, you will contribute to the invention and development ofnext-generation military propulsion systemsby defining and delivering integrated aero solutions that support national defense and future mission needs. You'll work on advanced aero concepts foraugmentors and exhaust nozzles, helping mature innovative designs that meet demanding customer capability requirements. As anEdison Works Aero Engineer, you'll gain experience creating "air solid" CAD models inNX, generating meshes inAnsys Workbench, and performing analysis and post-processing usingAnsys CFXand Fluentfor non/reacting and reacting combustion flows. You'll also collaborate across a highly integrated team ofmechanical, thermal, performance, and survivability engineersto develop optimized solutions for some of the most advanced propulsion challenges in the industry.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale without rounding
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)
• Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available
• Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to have an active security clearance at the SECRET level.

Eligibility Requirements:

Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. United States Citizenship required as a prerequisite for secret clearance.

Benefits:

Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed. Relocation support and housing assistance is available for those who relocate to a new city.
