Job description

Infrastructure Engineering (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will assist with the design and deployment of the network segmentation architecture and will participate in the development of the next generation network security architecture, applying a well-rounded knowledge of network design and network security. Specific duties of the position include: Engineer and support network security technologies; evaluate new security technologies to better improve efficiencies, security posture, and meet business objectives; apply thorough knowledge of infrastructure technology interdependencies; provide technical leadership across the IT organization in support of the network security initiatives; develop and support the network segmentation strategy across the global organization; provide training and new technology overview to engineering colleagues; develop, document, and update standards documentation; serve as the final technical escalation point of contact for security technologies; apply strong technical expertise in Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Routers and Switches, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Packet decoding and analysis, Web Proxy Servers, Load Balancing (F5 LTM, GTM, ASM), SSL VPN Solutions, and Web application firewalls and data loss prevention technologies in the performance of assigned job duties; and analyze and monitor network security solutions. Full time telecommuting from within the United States permitted pursuant to Company policy.


Minimum Requirements: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field and 3 years of related experience. Alternatively, will accept bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; and 7 years of related experience.


Must have: Strong technical experience in the following: Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, Routers and Switches, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Packet decoding and analysis, Web Proxy Servers, Load Balancing (F5 LTM, GTM, ASM), SSL VPN Solutions, Web application firewalls and data loss prevention technologies; experience in analyzing and monitoring network security solutions; demonstrated ability to work under intense pressure when resolving complex issues with strict deadlines; strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with the team members and superiors; and ability to lead and execute large, complex projects related to new technology integration. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $180,000 Annual
