Summary
As theSenior Manager of Hardware Design Engineering (CAD), you will lead a specialized team within the Hardware Platform Solutions group to deliver high-performance networking, compute, and storage products for the rapidly expanding Connectivity and Cloud Solutions (CCS) market. Reporting to the Design Engineering Director, you will drive the strategic direction and execution of our CAD systems, overseeing everything from initial design layouts to NPI (New Product Introduction) and sustaining support for our global organization. You will act as a key technical liaison, interfacing with executive leadership, global design teams, and external customers to align CAD methodologies with broader business goals. By fostering a culture of excellence in design automation and data integrity, you will ensure our highly skilled hardware engineers have the tools and processes necessary to deliver robust, scalable, and market-leading technology solutions.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage a team of CAD hardware engineers to and provide technical expertise throughout the design cycle

  • Work with key component suppliers and eco-system partners to new business opportunities in Enterprise and Service Provider markets.

  • Coordinate resources between competencies (engineering, manufacturing, Sourcing/SCM and other departments) to drive the implementation of product features/requirements.

  • Drive highly visible troubleshooting efforts to solutions, under possible stressful circumstances.

  • Conduct and/or participate in brainstorming sessions to identify creative ideas and unique solutions

  • Manage multiple project timelines, cost, resources and responsibilities to achieve successful deliverables of the programs.

  • Participates in the analysis of risk as part of Risk Management activities as applicable.

  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by supervisor and management.

  • Drive excellent customer satisfaction by understanding and over-delivering against Customer

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Strong engineering knowledge in the field of Compute, Storage or Network products and application cases, knowledge of AI products, GPU servers is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Broadcom chips, and their application cases is a strong plus
  • Experience in hardware design and development and understanding of complex concepts related to architecture, design engineering, reliability, prototyping and failure analysis.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and program management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
  • Experience in a customer facing environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • International culture awareness, ability to communicate and collaborate within global team.
  • Experience with Allegro CAD required
  • Experience wth complex high-speed boards required

Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • 10+ years of Signal Integrity Experience
  • Requires 4+ years of managerial/leadership experience
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong multidisciplinary background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Successful track record bringing products to market
