Position Summary

Production Development Engineering Intern

Position Summary:

An engineering internship position to gain experience and exposure to varying areas of Pneumatic valve component and systems design, development, investigation, testing, assembly, production support, sustaining, and repair station/fielded product support activities. The internship will support the Parker FSD North Hollywood location.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and apply knowledge and experience in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Hardware Testing, Drawing Standards, Analytical Methods and Project Management
  • Acquire knowledge in new product development and experience day to day engineering processes, tools, methods and operations
  • Acquire training through our Learning Management System to be compliant with our Division and Aerospace Group standards
  • Acquire knowledge in our Document/Drawing Control to perform necessary change control, reviews and approval process.

Qualifications: 

  • Enrolled in engineering course work at an accredited university, in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • May have limited or no prior work experience in related industry
  • Fundamental knowledge of engineering domain principles, concepts, and techniques.
  • Fundamental knowledge of and proficiency with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint). CAD Knowledge would be a plus.
  • Ability to work with general direction and instruction regarding the scope of assignments; determines the priority and order of assignments; and applies judgment in selecting procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
