Internship Duration: 6 MONTHS

Department: Marketing & Data Analytics

Type: Internship | Part-Time or Full-Time | Paid or Academic Credit

About Us

Gesture is a relationship technology company redefining how brands engage, convert, and retain customers through data-driven, real-world experiences.
Our flagship platform, Reach360, enables brands to execute what we call Tangible Personable Marketing-combining the precision of digital targeting with the emotional impact of physical delivery. Unlike traditional MarTech, Gesture owns the entire ecosystem: first-party data, intelligent audience selection, logistics execution, real-time performance tracking, and continuous optimization.
On the consumer side, Gesture operates a rapidly growing mobile platform that allows people to send meaningful physical gestures instantly-creating powerful moments while generating rich behavioral data that strengthens everything we build.

Where We're Headed
Gesture is investing aggressively in AI-driven intelligence to power the next generation of marketing and commerce using a gift-centric approach. Our roadmap focuses on:
We're building intelligence that anticipates, adapts, and compounds-predicting intent, optimizing campaigns in real time, and delivering deeply personalized experiences driven by real-world behavior, all through systems that continuously learn and improve with every interaction.
This is not surface-level automation. We're building intelligence directly into the core of how campaigns are planned, executed, and measured-at scale.
At Gesture, you're not joining a static MarTech company. You're joining a team building the infrastructure for how brands will compete in a post-digital-fatigue world.

What We're Looking For:

PROBLEM SOLVING AND A SOLUTION PROVIDER

A passionate and driven Data Marketing Engineering Intern who wants to work at the intersection of data engineering, marketing analytics, and AI-powered systems.

This role supports both our B2B and consumer platforms and plays a direct role in how data turns into decisions, performance, and growth. You'll work closely with data, marketing, and product teams to build the pipelines and tooling that power targeting, attribution, optimization, and experimentation.

What You'll Work On
- Designing and maintaining data pipelines across marketing, product, and logistics systems
- Automating analytics and reporting workflows used by growth and marketing leaders
- Supporting data structures used for personalization, prediction, and optimization
- Integrating MarTech tools with internal data infrastructure
- Turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights

Why This Role Is Different

You'll work on real systems used in production, not sandbox projects
Your work will influence live campaigns, spend decisions, and platform intelligence
You'll gain exposure to how modern MarTech and AI systems are actually built and scaled
If you want hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment where data directly drives revenue, user experience, and strategic decisions-this role puts you in the center of it.

Key Responsibilities and What You Will Learn:

- Assist in automating marketing data workflows and integrating data sources into cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake)

- Assist in measuring campaign performance, customer engagement, and ROI using key metrics.

- Analyze large datasets to uncover customer insights and campaign performance metrics.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to improve audience segmentation and personalized marketing efforts.

- Assist in A/B testing, attribution modeling, and predictive analytics for marketing optimization.

- Work with APIs to extract, clean, and structure marketing data for analysis and reporting

- Stay updated on data engineering best practices and emerging MarTech trends.

- Generate reports and dashboards to track trends, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness.

- Support the implementation and optimization of marketing analytics tools and dashboards

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.

- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to enhance customer segmentation and targeting efforts.

- Assist in creating data visualizations and presentations for stakeholders.

- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to collect and transform marketing data from various platforms (Google Analytics, CRM, social media, etc.).

- Stay up to date with industry trends, digital marketing best practices, and emerging data analysis techniques.

Who You Are:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.

- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or R for data processing and analysis.

- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio).

- Familiarity with APIs and tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar marketing platforms.

- Knowledge of cloud-based data services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data for business insights.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly.

- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Learn From the Role:

- Hands-on experience in data-driven marketing analysis, marketing data engineering and analytics.

- Opportunity to contribute to data-driven marketing strategies.

- Exposure to real-world marketing campaigns and cloud platforms.

- Opportunity to work with experienced marketing professionals and data analysts.

- A chance to make an impact with data-backed recommendations.
