Job description

The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Automation, Integration & System Protection (AISP) team for Fall 2026. This internship offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world engineering challenges in the power and renewables sectors. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on client projects while building both technical and communication skills in a collaborative environment

What You'll Do

  • Support engineers on a variety of projects related to substation SCADA, network integration, and/or relay settings design
  • Assist in the preparation of technical deliverables, documentation, and design packages for utility and renewable clients
  • Receive detailed instruction and mentorship to complete assigned tasks while contributing to project success
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to expand your understanding of power systems engineering
  • Collaborate with engineering professionals to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality work
  • Potential opportunities for site visits and hands-on exposure to operational systems may be available

  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow direction
  • Flexible Fall Schedule: This internship is designed to accommodate the student's academic schedule. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 8–10 hours per week during the Fall semester, with additional hours available based on business needs and the student's availability.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

      Target Base Compensation for this role is $29/hr.
