Description

The AI Engineering Co-Op will collaborate with the Data Engineering & Analytics Team, which focuses on leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence to address real-world challenges and deliver value to the Diversified Analog Solutions Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art AI solutions that power our services. You will design, implement, and optimize systems for deploying and serving AI models across Skyworks on end-to-end projects.

Term: Summer/Fall Co-Op (June '26 - Dec '26)

Required Experience and Skills
  • Currently pursuing an M.S. in Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Able to commit to the full duration onsite of the co-op opportunity (up to 6 months: June 2026 to December 2026).
Desired Experience and Skills
  • AI Experience and Interest: Experience with generative AI, large language model, or advanced NLP systems, and a strong willingness to learn AI innovation.
  • Full-Stack Development: Exposure to front-end development or full-stack experience is a plus, especially involving integration of AI models into products.
  • Backend Development Expertise: Strong experience with Python for building APIs using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with deploying AI/ML models via RESTful endpoints is required.
  • Cloud Platforms Experience: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.
  • Database Management Knowledge: A basic understanding of database interactions for storing and retrieving data is preferred.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
