Job description

Position will be open until filled.
We are currently seeking:
An Engineering Intern to join our team. In this role, under general supervision, you will support department personnel with various assignments related to Capital Improvement Projects and internal services.
Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Gathering and assembling data for engineers, including research and development of existing products and technologies.
  2. Analyzing work processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  3. Resolving technical issues and improving product flow.
  4. Assisting engineers with appropriate design details.
  5. Conducting limited scope testing and design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers.
  6. Knowledge of physically producing and reproducing engineering documents.
  7. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
  8. Regular and timely attendance is required.

Requirements and Skills:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of sophomore year or higher at a college majoring in civil engineering.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
  • Must be able to bend or stoop to retrieve files.
  • Must be able to lift books, files, or other materials weighing 10 to15 lbs.
