Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineer to apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications for the design and construction of power-related systems. This role involves supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications. The position also includes providing guidance and quality assurance for contractors' design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering processes and design criteria to design and construct power-related systems.
  • Support the preparation of estimates and develop design options.
  • Prepare construction specifications and transmit construction packages.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors.
  • Create a safe work environment by prioritizing safety.
  • Utilize various software applications used in design and understand industry design standards.
  • Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations.
  • Estimate material requirements for projects.

Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • 0-5 years of related experience.
  • Previous experience with walking down and marking up mechanical prints.
  • Experience with doing CAD work for mechanical P&IDs.
  • Experience in power generation or heavy industrial settings is required.

Education:
  • An accredited bachelor's degree is required.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with CAD software for mechanical P&IDs.
  • Basic discipline-specific software knowledge.
