Job description

My client is a Billion Dollar International High Temperature Materials Manufacturer. Their Tennessee plant, located Southwest of Nashville, is looking for a junior MECHANICAL ENGINEER, who will be mentored by their engineering team dedicated to the set up, design / specification of automated processing equipment: wet & dry chemical transfer systems, including piping, drainage, pumps, valves, mixers, conveyors, dust collectors, heavy lifting equipment (forklifts, cranes, slinging systems, grabbers), blowers, fans, furnaces, etc... Will also work with the automation systems that control these batch process systems / equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a BSME degree.
  • Must have at least 2 to 3 years of experience of hands-on Design and Troubleshooting experience of Heavy Industrial equipment. No High-Speed Robotics or Discrete Assembly Systems experience will be considered.
  • Experience working in a process-oriented manufacturing environment, ideally involving high temperatures like metals, ceramics, glass, and/or petrochemical are strongly preferred.
  • A solid understanding of computer programming and software development is required. Must be able to understand PLC systems.
  • Ability to mechanically troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests is also required.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D Modeling tools like SolidWorks is strongly preferred.
