Title: Part-Time: Career Exploration Lab Technician

Job Summary

This is a temporary position reporting to the Career Exploration Lab Coordinator. The Career Exploration Lab Technician is under general supervision.

Job Duties

  • Directly supports mobile unit activities.
  • Manage and maintain a wide range of electronic test/repair equipment including (but not limited to): PACE rework stations, Mantis Microscopes, Analog/digital oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, analog/digital signal generators, digital multimeters, analog multimeters, laboratory trainers.
  • Monitor and resupply inventory of laboratory consumables.
  • Troubleshoot equipment including software and hardware.
  • Checks and tests equipment and work in confined spaces.
  • Work up to maximum of 16 hours per week.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related work experience.
  • Experience with managing inventory
  • Experience with computer hardware / software maintenance
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Skills in solving problems excellently.
  • Skills in communication and interpersonal.
  • Ability to repair, maintain, and install microcomputer equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • A background check will be required for the successful candidate.
