Position Type: Teaching High School/Computer Science Date Posted: 5/7/2026 Location: C. E. King High School Primary Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the field of computer science designed to help them fulfill their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills in coding, programming, computational thinking, cybersecurity, digital literacy, and technology applications that prepare them for college, careers, and future opportunities. Qualifications Education/Certification
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate certification for assigned teaching area
  • Computer Science certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of computer science curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Ability to teach coding, programming, and technology concepts
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, networking, robotics, and/or data science concepts preferred
