Role: Oracle DBA

Pay Rate: $50/hr on w2.

Work Authorization: only Citizens, Green Card 

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location : Weehawken, NJ


The requirement is to dedicate resources to DBaaS (Database As Service) release deployment, DBaaS infrastructure deployment and management of services associated with DBaaS.

Experienced Oracle DBA for operational Run/Maintain of the core infrastructure underpinning an internal cloud offering (Oracle on Exadata/ODA).

Manage the core infrastructure underpinning the private cloud - Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Internet Directory (OID)

Capacity management of the cloud infrastructure including placement, sizing, resource governance

Life cycle management of the core DBaaS Infrastructure (OEM, OID)

Vulnerability management of the core infrastructure (OEM, OID)

Design and maintain the core-infrastructure including installation, patching, performance management, disaster recovery

Interface to engineering on release of new functionality into the Cloud including monitoring templates, compliance templates, automation and self-service capabilities

Assist Oracle Admins in other locations to manage the core infrastructure that is ring-fenced due to access constraints

Operational strategy for management of infrastructure underpinning DBaaS ( ExaData, ODA, other hardware) including patching, capacity management, DR, HA.


Minimum or Basic Requirements

Include minimum required education/degree, experience and/or background, computer skills, language skills, or licenses.                


EXAMPLE:


Experience in administering OEM (preferably OEM 12C) in an enterprise environment

Experience in administering OID (Oracle Internet Directory) in an enterprise environment

Experience in administering Oracle Appliances (ExaData, ODA) including patching of OEL, Storage Cells and firmware

Strong tuning experience in analyzing the performance metrics and provide recommendations in Oracle on Exadata.

Strong knowledge of Oracle including DBMS, Data Guard, Golden Gate, RAC, RMAN

Strong knowledge of OS (Linux) and Storage concepts

Experience working for large enterprises preferably in the financial sector. Must be flexible to work on weekends or after-hours as required

Must have the strong communication skill to deal directly with business and development teams.

Must have strong technical skill to manage and take ownership of technical projects without any assistance.
