JOB SUMMARY

ProLift, a national leader in full-service rigging and transportation solutions, is actively seeking a Database Administrator with a process improvement mindset, proven history of technical ownership, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Our organization thrives on excellence in project management, engineering, and specialized lifting and hauling of equipment, and we are looking for a strong team member that supports our teams with reliable, accessible data to guide decision-making.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Database Administrator will both oversee the creation, maintenance, and use of data infrastructure while also contributing to hands-on data integration and pipeline development, with the end goal of equipping the organization with actionable insights.

The Database Administrator will serve the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor and administer relational database management systems, including SQL Server and Quickbase data environments
  • Create and maintain tables, views, stored procedures, jobs, and indexes
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data-related issues across environments
  • Optimize queries and storage to improve performance
  • Manage backups, refreshes, and restores
  • Build and maintain ETL processes to integrate various systems
  • Oversee data flows via API, EDI, SFTP, and pipelines
  • Support and execute data migration projects
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation
  • Ensure data is structured, accessible, and used appropriately across teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in relational database systems (Microsoft SQL Server or Quickbase preferred)
  • Experience using Python or similar scripting languages for data integration, automation, or API development
  • Detailed understanding of data security best practices
  • Experience with validating and ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Proficient in SQL, with familiarity in analyzing and optimizing query performance
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a drive for researching and identifying solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.)
