Machine Operator Job Summary:

Kaspar Outdoors is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and perform basic setups of CNC machines used in manufacturing high-quality components. This role is responsible for ensuring parts meet quality standards and that all work is performed safely and efficiently in alignment with production requirements.


Machine Operator Responsibilities:

- Operate multiple CNC machines to meet production goals

- Retrieve and input data using computer commands and graphic displays

- Calculate machining parameters including feed rate, speed, tool size, and spindle location

- Store and manage layout data in computer memory for repeatable processes

- Transfer layout and part programs to storage devices

- Perform initial quality control checks on all produced parts

- Use digitizing equipment to create patterns, as needed

- Follow all safety protocols including wearing required PPE

- All other duties as assigned by management


Machine Operator Skills and Competencies:

- Understanding of quality workmanship standards

- Blueprint reading and basic math proficiency

- Familiarity or willingness to learn Fanuc, Haas, and Mitsubishi controllers

- Strong visual inspection skills and quality-at-the-source mindset

- Clear interpersonal communication and teamwork


Machine Operator Qualifications:

- CNC machine operation and setup experience

- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred

- Willingness to learn and operate advanced equipment


Work Environment:

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions including loud noise, heat, humidity, and exposure to airborne particles. Use of PPE is required.


Physical Requirements:

- Stand up to 10 hours daily

- Frequent walking, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and squatting

- Repetitive hand, wrist, shoulder, and foot movements

- Lift up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally with assistance

- Push/pull pallet jacks weighing up to 4000 lbs with assistance
