Job description

Tri-Tech is a Surveying, Engineering and Land Planning firm that delivers a wide range of professional services to a variety of clients, including homebuilders (production & custom), developers, industrial facilities, architects, general contractors and individuals.
We are seeking a qualified candidate for Survey Technician / CAD operator with experience in residential and commercial land surveys. Working knowledge of AUTOCAD a must. Experience with topographic surveying and site plans a plus.
  • Works under the direction of RPLS or Survey Project Manger
  • Performs calculations and prepares CAD Drawings and other documents for a variety of projects, including boundary, right-of-way, topographic and title surveys, plats, easements etc.
  • Reads and understands various technical documents including deeds, plats and title reports, construction plans etc.
  • Prepares instructions for field staking and coordinates with field crew as needed.
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
  • Completes redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements
  • Inform Project Manager of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns with project managers
  • Support multiple projects when needed and ensure timely completion of assignments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience (2-3 years of CAD drafting/design experience).
  • Working knowledge of land surveying preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or relevant software (Civil 3D is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other teams.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance while contributing to a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
