Job description

Apply Category: Accounting/Finance The Billing Specialist under direct supervision, performs accounting, control and reporting activities related to client and inter-company/inter-division invoices in a timely, efficient manner and in accordance with contractual requirements and company policies and procedures. Pay Rate: Up to $24.50/hour, depending on experience. Assignment Length: 4-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors

Shift Details: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with occasional overtime during month-end. Position Overview: Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support daily business operations in a fast-paced office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop new skills, as no prior experience is required.

Comprehensive training will be provided on all processes, systems, and workflows. Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring complete, accurate invoicing by understanding the terms of client agreements, including contract terms, methods of payment, client financing requirements, subsidiary involvement, and third party involvement and royalty assignments. Review and confirm supporting documentation for completion during invoicing process; including signed contract (if necessary), sales order, signed field ticket, job log, job summary, and signed work order.

Validate invoice packet for completeness and readability as well as reviewing and editing customer- required entries. Create, review, edit, and validate billing document for accuracy and completeness. Submit invoice to customer via customer defined specifications.

Review billing due list and action items ready to be invoiced. Monitor rejected invoices in functional mailbox and resolve or escalate to Financial Supply Chain Management as needed. Qualifications: An Associate or Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.

Requires 3-5 years related experience in field of accounting. Commercial accounting and invoicing training preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience using Microsoft Teams. Ability to effectively multitask and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly. Full training will be provided on company processes, systems, and workflow. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and eager to learn.

They are comfortable working with technology, can manage multiple tasks efficiently, and thrive in a collaborative office environment. Strong computer skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn are the keys to success in this role.
