Job description

Summary
Responsible for leveraging subject matter expertise to support the Program Director for the Medical
Billing & Coding and Coding & Revenue Cycle Management programs. This role oversees the
development, maintenance, and delivery of educational services by creating and updating curriculum,
ensuring effective instruction, preparing course materials, and supervising faculty and staff. The position
also assists in overseeing online operations, including monitoring student progress, attendance, advising,
and grade reporting. Additionally, this role ensures ongoing compliance with federal, state, institutional,
and programmatic accreditation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Program Director in managing daily operations of the Medical Billing &
Coding/Coding and Revenue Cycle Management program in a fully online environment
Assist with coordination and oversight of online curriculum delivery, coding labs, simulations, and
applied learning activities to ensure accreditation compliance
Support accreditation, regulatory, and certification requirements, including documentation for ABHES and other applicable agencies
Assist with faculty onboarding, credential review, training, scheduling, and performance
documentation for online instructors
Teach MBCC/CRCM courses as needed and support effective online curriculum delivery
Monitor student progress, academic readiness, and eligibility for certification exams (e.g., CPC,
CCS, CBCS)
Assist with student advising and resolution of academic or online learning concerns
Collaborate with Career Services to support graduate placement, employer engagement, and
workforce alignment within the revenue cycle field
Support faculty and staff responsible for online instruction and student support services
Assist with program outreach, continuing education initiatives, and career pathway development
in Medical Billing & Coding and Revenue Cycle Management
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and all applicable state, federal, and programmatic
regulations
Assist the Program Director with administrative functions related to program operations and
student progression
Analyze student performance and retention data to support continuous program improvement
Perform other duties as assigned to support program effectiveness

Education
Associate degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.


Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of recent relevant experience in Medical Billing & Coding, Revenue
Cycle Management, or a related field.
Prior online teaching or training experience preferred.
Must meet all ABHES and TWC instructor qualification requirements.
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word) and data entry.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or similar
platforms preferred
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR), practice management systems, and coding
software preferred

Certificates and Licenses
Current relevant industry certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, CBCS) required per regulatory standards
