Job Requisition Introductory Paragraph:

This is a Student Co-op position located in Saginaw, MI.  This position supports the Commercial Team within the Global Supply Management (GSM) US Division.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers to obtain required documentation, including financial data and sustainability audit information
  • Lead project to develop and maintain a commodity-based wall chart of parts, incorporating awarded program volumes with quarterly updates from Sales
  • Create new and/or enhance existing computer applications, programs, spreadsheets, databases, etc. to compile information and generate reports of department metrics 
  • Analyze Intelex sourcing records and generate report
  • Long-Term Agreements:
    • Review, document, and ensure compliance with all suppliers long-term agreements, confirming clear understanding of terms and conditions
    • Maintain a well-organized, audit-ready database of all long-term agreements for easy access and tracking
  • Support tactical purchasing activities as project needs arise.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be attending a 4-year university local to Saginaw
  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business or related degree
  • Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
    • Up to 40 in the summer
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Candidate must have an interest in Supply Change Management or Business
  • Candidate must have strong mathematical and analytic ability
  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail
  • Candidate must not graduate before 2028
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
