Job description

Saalex is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst II in Ridgecrest, CA to analyze business and technical problems and develop effective computer-based solutions to support operational and engineering requirements. The selected candidate will utilize knowledge of systems analysis, software applications, computer systems, and business processes to evaluate requirements, support system development efforts, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve operational efficiency.
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $33 per hour
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and recommend computer-based solutions.
  • Assist in the maintenance, enhancement, and modification of complex systems and applications.
  • Support the development of new subsystems, applications, and automated processes.
  • Guide users in developing requirements and evaluating alternative system solutions.
  • Analyze user requests, identify gaps or conflicts in requirements, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer systems and software applications.
  • Investigate operational issues and resolve hardware, software, and system-related problems.
  • Coordinate with systems analysts, engineers, developers, and end users to support project objectives.
  • Support software development, testing, implementation, and special project activities.
  • Maintain databases and tracking systems used for inventory, reporting, and operational support.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior personnel, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements
Required:
  • Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent vocational/technical training and related experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience supporting computer systems, software applications, or systems analysis activities.
  • Familiarity with systems analysis principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, system software, and integrated software applications.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
