Founded in 1996, CMES, Inc. is a rapidly growing, privately held Georgia-based civil construction company. We are seeking to add an experienced Land Surveying CAD Technician to our team to support our continued rapid growth within the heavy highway, roadside construction industry. This is a fulltime position located in Norcross, GA The basic function of the Accounting Manager for CMES, Inc. is to work as part of the Accounting Team to manage and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Accounting areas of the company. The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintenance of appropriate accounting records, data entry of accounting statistics, Allocations, Adjusting Journal and portions of the Monthly Financial Report. This position works closely with the CFO, Contracts and the Accounting Team. The Accounting Manager supervises the Accounting Team. The right candidate, as directed, in an accurate and in a timely manner, will complete all work assignments, perform the work as per the scheduled hours, and make the most effective use of time and talent. The ideal candidate will be a timely, energetic team player with prior construction company experience.

Duties:
The basic function of the Land Surveying CAD Technician is to operate all computer aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment. They will also exercise considerable skill in the use of graphics commands and preprogrammed material to develop drawings.
Create quick actions utilizing the command language of the system to assist in drawing creation. Utilize knowledge of mathematics in the preparation of the drawings. Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniques. Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity and learns how to use all software options. Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings. Apply judgment and makes decisions with respect to drawings and input interpretation. Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from supervisor. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Position will be responsible for maintaining exceptional communications throughout the company through the diligent use of company, production, and management meetings. Ensure proper paperwork is filled out and submitted to other departments as deemed necessary to keep workflow efficient and productive. Position will ensure that Safety Standards are met on ALL job sites as required-this accomplished through support and delegation of the Field Superintendent and Safety Manager/Administrator.
EXPERIENCE/Education
Required: 3 years in construction surveying position.
