Description
The Credit Analyst is responsible for performing various departmental functions including financial statement spreading, statement tracking, commercial credit write-up in standard format including financial analysis, maintaining loan grading, and reviewing credit documents as needed. The focus of this position is on producing high quality, detailed work that is consistent and accurate.
Duties and responsibilities

  • Accurately spread financial statements and tax returns. Identify inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
  • Draft commercial credit write-up in standard format. Prepare summary of facts concerning credit worthiness for new, renewal, and extension loans based on Loan Officer input and analysis of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual credit reviews.
  • Maintain statement tracking system and prepare reports to ensure timely receipt of customer financial information.
  • Prepare and mail financial information letters.
  • Prepare various reports. Reports include but are not limited to: Exceptions, Credit Quality, Past Due Loans, and Coming Due Loans.
  • Input loan grading changes/updates accurately and timely.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of customer information both inside and outside the bank.
  • Ability to demonstrate compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned job functions to minimize risk.
  • Completes all required job-specific training.
  • Promote CNB as a relationship community-building financial institution with focus on volunteerism and teamwork.
  • Ability to exercise judgement, raise questions to management and adhere to policy guidelines.
  • Approach co-workers positively and provide support.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Minimum of three years of commercial loan and/or financial analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel

Working conditions
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Physical requirements
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
