This role seeks a CAD Drafter who will create detailed drawings from scratch using SolidWorks, with a primary focus on piping systems. You will support overflow design and drafting work, develop and maintain CAD models and component libraries, and ensure accurate bill of materials validation for manufacturing and semiconductor-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed CAD drawings and models from scratch using SolidWorks, with a strong emphasis on piping systems.
  • Develop, configure, and update CAD models for pipes, valves, clamps, and related components.
  • Build, organize, and maintain a comprehensive library of parts, including pipes, valves, clamps, and other piping system elements.
  • Configure designs using existing component libraries, adjusting line lengths and layouts to meet project requirements.
  • Perform field visits as needed to gather accurate measurements, dimensions, and layout details for piping systems and related equipment.
  • Translate hand drawings, measurements, and field data into precise CAD models and drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, 3D models, and other technical documentation to ensure accurate design and drafting.
  • Validate bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with CAD models and design specifications.
  • Support semiconductor and manufacturing equipment projects by producing and updating CAD drawings and models.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address design changes, clarify requirements, and resolve drafting issues.
  • Ensure that all drawings and models follow internal standards, industry best practices, and project-specific guidelines.

  • Demonstrated experience with bill of materials (BOM) validation.
  • Strong drafting and CAD skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, 3D models, hand drawings, and measurements.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment.
  • Comfort with field measurement work, including capturing sizes, dimensions, and layouts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial, architectural, or plant design.
  • Experience working with semiconductor tools is preferred.
