Job Title: CAD/CAM Designer (3Shape / exocad)

Location: Calgary, CA

Salary: 23-29 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Designer with experience in 3Shape and exocad software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing high-quality dental restorations using digital workflows, ensuring precision, efficiency, and consistency in all cases. Must know designing in dentures and case partials. It would be added if the candidate is able to design crown and bridges and implants

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, and other prosthetics using 3Shape and/or exocad software
  • Interpret prescriptions and digital/impression files to create accurate designs
  • Collaborate with technicians, dentists, and production teams to ensure case requirements are met
  • Perform quality checks on all designs before production
  • Maintain consistency with company standards, workflows, and turnaround times
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design or file issues as they arise
  • Stay updated on software updates, digital dentistry trends, and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience using 3Shape and/or exocad CAD/CAM software
  • Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative design principles
  • Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions and lab instructions
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a dental laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with milling and 3D printing workflows
  • Experience with implant design and full-arch restorations
