Job description

As a Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, you will work on diverse projects with various sizes, scopes, and details. You will work in a flexible work environment with a fantastic culture and a national presence. We are looking for Survey Technicians who have experience with FDOT District 4 and 6 who are interested in being subject matter experts in land development, renewable energy, and construction projects.

  • Resourceful Support: Act as a valuable resource for design staff, guiding drafting practices and procedures.

  • CAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments, ensuring they align with Atwell's standards.

  • Drawing Production: Generate various drawings specific to projects, including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layouts, and construction staking.

  • Survey Data Analysis: Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, considering factors like legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.

  • Plan Modification: Responsibly edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely.

  • Workflow Coordination: Maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status, ensuring the team meets chargeability goals.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience with FDOT District 4 and 6
  • Previous AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience Preferred 
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) Preferred 
  • High School Diploma Required, Associated Degree Preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Altas, Topo's, Boundaries, and Construction Staking
