Job description

Job Title: CAD Technician

Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Work Schedule: M-F (four 10 hours days)

Compensation: $25-35 per hour based on experience

This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends on applicants credentials.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the electronic drafting support of engineering activities associated with utility construction.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist staff with electronic document management
  • Perform ACAD/Microsoft drawing activities as assigned
  • Input field data into electronic format
  • Assist engineering staff with the design and layout of construction prints
  • Complete daily contract administration
  • Attends project meetings

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A.S. from a technical school preferred or equivalent experience
  • High proficiency level in AutoCAD and/or Microstation required
  • Proficiency level in MS Office applications (specifically Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with contractual related project/work environment a plus
  • Perform with high attention to detail
  • Willingness to participate in a team environment
  • Willingness to work in an outside environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Valid driver's license
