About the role:

The Electrical Engineering Technician is a hands-on, highly collaborative role responsible for bridging the gap between design concepts and physical manufacturing. In this position, you will apply electrical theory to build, test, troubleshoot, and modify electrical components, circuitry, and control systems for our premier commercial oven product lines. Offering substantial room for professional growth, this role is perfect for a proactive technical problem-solver who enjoys working directly with prototypes, schematics, and cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and Understand Schematics: Read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering instructions for assembling products.
  • Prototype Assembly: Assemble complex electrical systems or physical prototypes using hand tools or measuring instruments.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Create test protocols and utilize electrical/electronic test equipment to evaluate prototypes and resolve design-related issues.
  • Engineering Records: Create and maintain organized, accurate documentation of testing trials, design iterations, CAD files, and technical literature.
  • Standards Compliance: Review electrical documentation to ensure adherence to design specifications and compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC).
  • Manufacturing Guidance: Partner with the production floor to train, guide, and troubleshoot with assembly staff on wiring procedures and electrical issues.
  • Component Diagnostics: Identify and resolve component failures, working directly with manufacturers to procure replacement parts.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Assist with Supply Chain initiatives and locating/validating alternative electrical components to avoid production disruptions.
  • Project Support: Assist other engineering staff as needed to propel projects smoothly from initial design to active production.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Demonstrate strong personal drive, initiative, and determination in solving problems and providing innovative design concepts to the team.

Requirements

Qualifications and Essential Functions

  • Education: Minimum of a 2-year degree in Electro-Mechanical      Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient use of CAD software packages (SolidWorks      Electrical is highly preferred).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is      beneficial.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute      effectively to various multi-functional project teams.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with initiative, integrity, and the      ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Operational Readiness: Exceptional reliability, strong self-motivation, and a      commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe physical workspace.
  • Experience: Prior work experience in a manufacturing or assembly      environment is preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the commercial foodservice industry is      beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits


Pay Range: $26.00 - $32.00 p/h
