Are you a skilled CAD professional passionate about shaping land development projects? Join a dynamic team as a Grading Design Specialist, where your expertise in grading, drainage, and civil design will bring construction plans to life.

Position Summary:

As a Grading Design Specialist, you will prepare preliminary and final maps, plans, drawings, exhibits, and digital data files using CAD software. You will contribute to projects of varying complexity, applying your technical knowledge and creativity to optimize site design and earthwork efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed grading plans and specifications to ensure proper drainage, slope stability, and accessibility.
  • Perform calculations to balance earthwork and minimize project costs.
  • Implement erosion and sediment control measures to protect sites during and after construction.
  • Prepare engineering maps, exhibits, and drawings for streets, sewers, water, storm drains, and grading projects.
  • Update and maintain CAD drawings and digital files under guidance from project engineers or land development management.
  • Work with standard CAD specifications, formats, and base files required by private firms and government agencies.
  • Ensure all drawings meet Agency and internal graphic standards.
  • Maintain CAD files and databases in accordance with organizational CAD standards.
