The New Orleans, LA office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking experienced Civil/Structural Bridge Design Engineers
What We're Looking For
  • At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • Mid-Level positions are available
    • 4-10 years related Bridge Design Experience
    • Ideal candidate will have a valid PE license in the state of Louisiana, or will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
  • Senior Level positions are available
    • 10 + years related Bridge Design Experience
    • Ideal candidate will have a valid Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Louisiana.
What You'll Do
  • Review and check standard structural design calculations.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
  • Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
  • Provide information for design reports.
  • Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
  • Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
  • Review and check drawings.
  • Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
  • Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
  • Will take on leadership roles, will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Senior Engineers will serve as technical leaders on complex projects.
  • Senior Engineers will be responsible for the delivery of projects
