Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a CAD Drafter/Designer to join a leading Company located in the Lynwood, WA surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.**
Pay: $27.00-$31.00 Per Hourย 

We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer/Drafter to support engineering teams with the creation and modification of detailed technical drawings. This role will work closely with senior engineers and will involve preparing formal engineering drawings from existing parts, photographs, engineering sketches, prototypes, and assemblies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify detailed CAD drawings based on engineering sketches, layouts, notes, photographs, and prototype parts
  • Prepare formal engineering drawings using company-standard drawing templates
  • Review drawing plots for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting standards
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure model accuracy and proper design documentation
  • Support ECN/ECR documentation and drawing revisions
  • Develop drawings for mechanical parts, electrical cables, connectors, and circuit card assemblies
  • Apply knowledge of GD&T when creating and reviewing drawings
  • Support file maintenance, storage, and documentation control as needed
  • Provide guidance regarding project timelines, resource needs, and drafting requirements
  • Identify design modifications that may improve manufacturability or product quality

Basic Hiring Criteria:ย 
  • Minimum 3 years of professional Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience
  • Strong experience creating complex technical and engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Ability to interpret engineering sketches, prototypes, photographs, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Qualifications:
  • SolidWorks experience
  • Experience supporting engineering and manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with ECN/ECR documentation
  • Active or previous security clearance
