Job description

Join our team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment! We’re looking for a friendly Host / Busser to seat guests, prep tables, and keep the dining room running smoothly. This is a highly tipped position with fantastic earning potential! Must be at least 18 years old. Ready to join us? Apply today! The Host/Busser creates a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring the dining room is clean, free from trash and debris, and tables are set up properly. Greets all guests with genuine enthusiasm and warmth upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, enters guest names into the reservation system, and shows guests to their table. Coordinates and communicates with wait staff regarding station assignment, seating, and general customer satisfaction.  Always thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return.

*Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Adjust seating flow in such a manner as to balance customers among the wait staff and their stations
  • Provides menus to guests once they are seated
  • Ensures all menus are presentable and clean
  • Refills water for guests
  • Receive and record reservations by phone or in person
  • Manage special seating requests of guests consistent with table availability
  • Help in expediting customer orders
  • Keeps ice bins filled
  • Replenishes and restocks supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes and assure clean sanitation inside stations
  • Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish room or specified area.
  • Assist with the duties of servers as needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Follow all general and department policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • No previous experience necessary 
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members
  • Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner 
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
