Job Title: Engineering CAD Designer
Location: Wadsworth, OH (on-site)

Position Summary:
As an Engineering CAD Designer at PT Tech, part of the Timken Company, you will help develop custom designed solutions for the aggregate, marine, metal and steel, mining, wood waste recycling, and material processing industries. You will partner with engineering and production teams to produce accurate 3D models and detailed drawings to ensure designs are production ready to drive new product and market growth. On-site presence in Wadsworth, OH is desired with the potential for flexible work arrangements.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain drawings and 3D models using PTC CREO working closely with mechanical design engineers.
  • Manage CAD data, revisions, and BOMs in PTC Windchill PLM software.
  • Produce clear, production ready manufacturing drawings with correct GD&T, material callouts, and notes.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing to support design for manufacturability (DFM), clarify drawing intent, and resolve production issues.
  • Utilize ECRs / ECNs to keep revision history accurate in Windchill.
  • Create, follow, and maintain design and drawing templates and standards to improve consistency of drawings across the group.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years' experience in mechanical drafting / CAD modeling, preferably in a machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in mechanical drafting / detailing, CAD / CAM, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with 3D mechanical CAD and PLM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawing standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal mediums.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate drawings on schedule.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient with PTC CREO and PTC Windchill systems and related training / certifications.
  • ASME Y14.5 GD&T training / certification.
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD / CAM, or related field.
  • Hands-on machining / shop experience or familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and BOM workflows.
  • Experience using, and intermediate skill level in, MS Office software applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
