We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role involves the design, development, and improvement of mechanical and electrical products. You will work closely with various departments to ensure product specifications meet market demands and are both manufacturable and serviceable.

The Engineer, Mechanical Product coordinates across business functions to understand market requests and design or modify products that meet customer requirements. This individual serves as a technical expert, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to manage change, sustain product performance, and drive continuous improvements where needed.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of precision electronic measuring devices.
  • Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues to achieve team goals and foster a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change and embrace new approaches.
  • Develop work plans and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to translate market requests into design specifications.
  • Revise designs to improve manufacturability and ease of production.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of design system standards.
  • Participate in product development and design activities involving both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies, materials, fastening methods, and corrosion-resistant options.
  • Develop 2D and 3D models and drawings using CAD software.
  • Serve as a technical resource to address and resolve customer and internal inquiries and issues.
  • Train and support engineers, technicians, and designers.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to specify appropriate and cost-effective components.
  • Prepare calculations, equipment layouts, detail drawings, and bills of material (BOMs).
  • Participate in the manufacturing and assembly of prototype components and products.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of CAD experience using 3D design software, including SolidWorks.
  • ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Proficiency in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with New Product Development.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of steel alloys, material strengths, and manufacturing tolerances.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality principles.
  • Experience using CAD software to develop 2D and 3D models and drawings.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience evaluating new technologies, materials, and engineering solutions.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
